- involves group times throughout the day to teach children various topics such as

• Alphabet
• Number
• Shapes and colours
• Days of the week
• Pre-reading and writing activities

- encourages children to develop relationships with their peers, helping them to learn the social skills needed for when they begin school.

- provides a fun, safe and nurturing environment to aid development.

- encourages each individual child in their different and unique ways of learning.

- the children are assessed through a combination of checklists and observations and individual portfolios are created that detail the child's development throughout the year.
